Micro Optics
These high-quality custom optics and optical assemblies combine our IBS coatings, ultraprecise fabrication capabilities and epoxy-free, which are widely used in the telecommunications, semi-conductor and biomedical industries. Because of their miniature size, they can be placed right at the objective lens or at the tip of optical fibers and light pipes.
Applications:
- Beam-delivery micro-systems
- Fiber-optic
- Endoscopic systems
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- Raman spectroscopy
- Optical-coherence tomography (OCT)
- Multiphoton microscopy (MPM)
- Confocal microscopy.
Main Features:
- High precision laser optics and assemblies from 1 mm in size
- Multi-element, micro-optic assemblies with epoxy-free optical paths
- Custom dielectric HR, AR and polarizing coatings available
- Operating Wavelength: UV, Visible, NIR, telecom bands, MWIR (2505000 nm)
Products include: Solid and air-spaced etalons,Polarization beam splitters,Waveplates,Beamsplitter cubes,Right angle turning prisms.

Zero and Multiple Order Waveplates
PPC uses laser-grade crystal quartz to produce multiple-order, true zero-order and compound zero-order waveplates with retardations of quarter-wave, half-wave or anything in-between. Waveplates are available as stand-alone components, or as part of a more complex optical assembly. PPC manufactures custom multi-element polarization assemblies with and without epoxy in sizes from 1 mm to 4" for R&D, biomedical and aerospace applications.
Main Features:
- Multiple order, true zero order, compound zero order
- Operating Wavelength: UV, Visible, NIR, MWIR (2665000 nm)
- Retardation Tolerance: As low as λ/500
- Transmitted Wavefront: λ/10 p-v 633 nm
- AR Coating: <0.1% per surface
- Available Materials: Crystal quartz, sapphire
- Shapes: Round, square, rectangular
- Typical Size: From 1 mm to >100 mm

Waveplates
Waveplates (retardation plates or phase shifters) are made from materials which exhibit birefrin-gence.The velocities of the extraordinary and ordinary rays through the birefringent materials vary inversely with their refractive indices. Low-Order Waveplate
- Material Crystal Quartz
- Thickness: 0.2-0.5 mm
- High Damage Threshold
- Better Temperature Bandwidth
- Low Cost
Airspaced Zero-Order Waveplate:
- Material Crystal Quartz
- Double retardation plate
- AR coated & mounted
- Wide Temperature Bandwidth
- Broadband spectral bandwidth
- High Damage Threshold
Zero-Order Waveplate:
- Material Crystal Quartz
- Double plate
- AR coated
- Wide Temperature Bandwidth
- Braodband spectral bandwidth
